Thanks to a very generous
gift from Ivan Bowen at Dresser Traprock and your ongoing support of the
Friends, we have been able to improve your experience at the North Horse Trail Parking Area.
Dresser Traprock donated 400
tons of Class 5 material and the Friends paid to have the material hauled to the area. Kirk Lehmann donated his time and equipment to spread the material to make a 5-inch deep and 16-foot wide road. Thank you Ivan and Kirk!
The parking area has room for
approximately 20 trailers. However, it is a primitive site with no tie lines, toilets or
water. Riders can easily access the wonderful northern half of the Brown Trail with its scrub oak and pine. You can also ride the Yellow Trail with its large white pines.
Vehicle stickers are not required for parking in this area. However, trail passes are required. Click here to see 2011 fees
