New Trade River Horse Campground

New Trade River Horse Campground Opens!!

Great news!

The new Trade River Horse Campground in
Governor Knowles State Forest is open.
It is gorgeous! With 40 campsites, this facility will provide Wisconsin’s vibrant horse community with great access to the Forest’s more than 40 miles of equestrian trails.  There are also toilets and water available throughout the campground.  The Friends raised the funds for tie lines and fire rings at each site.  Volunteers donated over 100 hours of time in May 2008 to install the tie lines and fire rings.
